Ventile® was first developed in the 1930s in the UK and was used during World War II for the production of flight suits.
It is a 100% cotton fabric made from long-fiber Egyptian cotton. The fabric is produced through a special weaving process where the cotton fibers are tightly woven together to create a dense and water-resistant texture.
Water resistance: One of the most notable properties of Ventile® is that it’s naturally water-repellent and can repel water without the need for additional coatings or treatments. This makes it ideal for protection against moisture in various weather conditions, whether it's rain, snow, or high humidity.
Breathability: Despite being water-repellent, Ventile® still allows for excellent breathability. The tightly woven cotton fibers allow air and water vapor to pass through, ensuring a comfortable wearing experience and minimizing condensation formation inside the clothing. This makes Ventile® an ideal material for all activities. In the city or outdoors, sitting or moving.
